This Friday, the mayor of the Bolivarian Libertador Municipality, Carmen Meléndez, took an inspection tour of the Omar Torrijos urban planning facilities, located on Avenida Bolívar in the parish of San Agustín, to verify the progress of the reconstruction and adaptation works being carried out in this housing complex.
Meléndez, through a post on his Instagram account, reported that the works show an increase of 88% as part of the execution of the Venezuela Renace Plan.
He also highlighted the activation of a “cayapa plan” that involves the deployment of more than 300 workers dedicated to completing the pending tasks in the shortest possible time.
He explained that the interventions in the five urban planning towers include the demolition and construction of walls, correction of leaks, reactivation of domestic gas service and waterproofing of common areas, among other structural arrangements.
The Mayor noted that to date, 153 apartments out of a total of 240 have been successfully rehabilitated, intensifying efforts to ensure a better quality of life and well-being for the 266 families that live in the community.
Meléndez emphasized that these actions are carried out in an articulated manner between organized popular power, the secretariats of the Mayor's Office of Caracas, brigades of affiliated entities and organizations and institutions such as Hidroven, with the firm commitment to achieving 100% of the completion of the work.
