The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, applauded and welcomed the four opposing mayors who issued a statement this Monday, July 08, informing them of their decision to support the electoral campaign of the candidate of the Bolivarian Revolution.

“I want to say to those mayors elected by the opposition who have declared themselves independent: Welcome, we can all fit here and we are moving towards a great future together,” he said.

He reiterated that “welcome, count on me, we are going together, we are united”.

In this regard, the head of state stressed that “this is what I have always sought: national union”, during his intervention in the mobilization of the people of the Coche parish of the Libertador municipality in Caracas, who confirmed his support for his candidacy for re-election to the Presidency of the Republic.

Yesterday, the four mayors of the opposition sector issued a statement, informing that they are joining the “Our Venezuela” Electoral Campaign of the candidate Nicolás Maduro, for the 2024 Presidential Election.

In addition to the mayor of San Juan de Los Morros, Zulme Ávila, these are the so-called independent mayors such as Juan Carlos Zamora, mayor of Tinaco, of the Cojedes stand; Pedro Antonio Abreu, mayor of the Rojas municipality and Adriana Azuaje, mayor of the Obispo municipality, the latter two of the state of Barinas.
