The Caracas Happy 2024 International Tourism Carnivals will begin on February 3rd, in Plaza La Candelaria, with a Fair for Mask Entrepreneurs and related to the carnival festivities.
The information was released by the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez and the head of Government of the Capital District, Nahum Fernández, at a press conference this Thursday, at Ezequiel Zamora Park, El Calvario, where they announced the cultural and recreational program that will take place during these holidays for the whole family and for children.
Meléndez specified that the 22 parishes will participate in activities that will take place in the spaces we have recovered, especially for the joy of boys and girls from all communities.
He pointed out that the Carnival will begin properly with the festival with a children's parade from the Fine Arts sector to Los Caobos Park, with the participation of the carnestolendent children's queens from the parishes of Caracas.
On the other hand, regarding community carnivals, they indicated that they will take place with the organization of the Foundation for Culture and the Arts (FUNDARTE) of community troupes that will tour popular sectors and urban areas, on February 7th and the same day there will be a musical activity in grandparents' care homes.
On February 7, 8 and 9, cultural shots will be held in 90 urban areas of the Great Venezuela Housing Mission.
From February 8 to 12, there will be a screening of children's films and plays for children at the Teatro Principal. Meanwhile, at Mirador Boyacá from February 08 to 12, there will be a special recreational activity.
Regarding the Retumba Caracas concerts, they said that they will begin on Friday the 9th in the San Agustín parish, then on the 11th in the Rental Zone and finally this initiative will arrive in Caricuao.
Also on Friday 9th, the election of the queen of Carnival will take place at the National Theater of Caracas and in that same place on the 10th, that of the godparents and godmothers of the Carnival.
Meléndez reported that on Monday, January 29, the candidates for Carnival queen will be presented to the press at the Hotel Hotel Waldorf, in La Candelaria.
Cultural and recreational activities will take place in the capital's parks on Saturday the 10th and then on the 11th and 12th take Los Próceres, where the Carrera K de Carnavales will take place on the 11th.
Between Monday and Tuesday of Carnival, the traditional parade of floats and troupes with international guests and even individual awards is expected.

Meléndez and Fernández noted that the eighth of Carnival will be held in Los Caobos Park.
