The tenth edition of the Caracas Documentary Film Festival will take place from July 17 to 21 at the headquarters of the National Cinematheque, located in the spaces of the Museum of Fine Arts, to evaluate a selection of short films, feature films and hourglass micro-documentary.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, the opening ceremony of the festival will take place on Wednesday, July 17, starting at 4:00 in the afternoon, with the screening of the short documentary film The Broken Goddess by Ximena Pereira. Meanwhile, on Thursday, July 18, all the performances will start at 1:00pm with an extensive program of the selection of documentaries.

The judges for feature films will be Marco Salaverria, Ximena Pereira and Ronald Rivas Casallas; for short films: Michael Labarca. Alexandra Henao, Giuliano Salvatore; those responsible for evaluating hourglasses are Camilo Paparoni, Radharani Gómez and Humberto Sánchez Amaya.

In addition, they will present a non-competitive exhibition due to the number of candidates and with the purpose of giving greater visibility to the work of Venezuelan filmmakers. “That's why in this tenth edition we reopened our Non-Competitive exhibition to give greater visibility to the eyes of emerging filmmakers,” the organization highlighted.

They are the following: This is harassment and the point of Alearis Zacarías; Fire in Quibayo by Luis Manuel Sotillo and San Juan: looking for a feeling of Abraham Romero.

On Sunday, July 21, the closing ceremony will take place starting at 3:00 in the afternoon with the award of the winners in each category and Public Prize.

Short Films: A Audio and the Caiman by Andrés I. Estrada, Estefanie Franco's Camposanto, Chiche by César Hernández, Abstract Human Figure by Gabriela Codalla, My Return by Mariangeli Pacheco, Ritual of Light by Jisbell Contreras and A House, a Body and Some Invisible Roots by Alejandra Rogghé

Feature films: Jackie The Wolf by Tulio Jencquel, The Children of the Breezes by Marianela Maldonado and Siudy Between Worlds by Pablo Croce.

Hourglass: In Search of an Adult Face by María Ramírez, All Shadows Are Mirrors by Nathaly Vidal and A Fictional City That Isn't Called Caracas by Sebastián Ruiz and Santiago Martín.
