With various activities across the city, Caracas commemorates Mother's Day to highlight the courage, love and dedication of women who are the pillars of families and communities.
In this context, the head of Government of the Capital District, Nahum Fernández, led an event in honor of Venezuelan mothers, where he recognized their daily efforts to build a stronger and more united society, and highlighted the fundamental role of women in different areas, from community work to their struggle for social welfare.
During his speech, Fernández expressed his pride in working and fighting mothers, in addition to highlighting the commitment they maintain in the UBCH, Community Councils and communities. “We are proud of our moms who are working, struggling. Long live the Venezuelan mother!” , he said.
The event included a special mention for those mothers who have experienced the separation of their children, such as cases of kidnappings in El Salvador and the United States (USA), so the Head of Government extended a message of solidarity and support, in which he emphasized the importance of unity and the fight for justice.
Fernández reiterated the commitment of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, to the defense of mothers and their children, which confirms his support in the search for solutions for affected families.
