The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, emphasized that the opposition “doesn't win elections because they don't have the votes.”

This statement was made at the close of the mobilization held this Monday, May 6 in the Coche parish of Caracas in rejection of the United States blockade measures against the country.

In relation to the state of Zulia, he said that “I commit to the president that the roads of that entity are a disaster and the governor doesn't bother to fix anything.”

In that vein, he indicated that “the People know that there are rulers who do nothing for their entity despite receiving resources from the State to solve their problems.”
