Caracas authorities deliver sports kits to athletes who will participate in the National Games

This Friday, at the Benilde Ascanio National Educational Complex,
located in Montalban, the mayor Carmen Meléndez, and the head of the
Government of the Capital District, Nahum Fernández, made the
sports kits for the athletes who will represent the capital city in
the Eastern 2024 National Sports Games, to be held from November 8 to 24.
Meléndez
highlighted that the Caracas delegation is made up of 580
athletes who will participate in 46 sports disciplines.
“Medals are built in the training process, and we are building that medal table now so that Caracas will be champion of the 2024 Eastern National Games,” she said.
He also
asked all Caracas residents to support and be aware of the performance
of young people in the competition. “These
boys
are making a great sacrifice, we need
support
through the networks, that
our athletes feel our love.”
For
his part, Fernández said that there are high expectations with this
delegation. “We are involved in competition at the highest level,
due to the preparation of these boys,” he said.
The Eastern 2024 National Sports Games will be held from November 8 to 24, in the states of Anzoátegui, Monagas and Sucre, with sub-venues in Carabobo, Falcón and Guárico, with the participation of 7,176 athletes from the country's 24 entities.
