By 2024, it is estimated that a telecommunications connection line with up to 500 gigabits of connection will be created to bring CANTV services to the north of Brazil, said the president of the telephone company, M/G Jesús Aldana.

During an interview with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), he explained that this link will also serve to improve connectivity in El Callao, Las Claritas, Tumremo and Santa Elena de Uairén.

On the other hand, he highlighted that by 2024 CANTV estimates the construction of between 250 and 300,000 optical points to bring voice and data services to subscribers using optical fiber.

“We are working on the transition from copper to fiber optics. We estimate that with the installation of these optical points, we will bring the service to 50 or 60% of the population,” he said.

In this regard, he reported that the Aba Ultra service (internet via fiber optic) is present in 16 states and in the Capital District.

In the same way, he indicated that, through the 1x10 Good Governance system, CANTV's technical staff dealt with 75% of the incidents reported by users.

“The demand for telecommunications within VenApp and 1x10 is quite high, we have exceeded one million 250 thousand complaints and of that we have dealt with 75%,” he stressed.

In addition, Aldana indicated that since 2020 CANTV has expanded its joint work with the private sector to improve service delivery.
