Candidate Maduro: We must raise awareness about the efficient use of natural resources

The candidate for presidential re-election, Nicolás Maduro Moros, reiterated his commitment to “combat the climate crisis, promote awareness and protect the people from environmental impact, as well as to safeguard the Amazon and natural reserves from the voracity of capitalism.”

In this sense, and inspired by Commander Hugo Chávez's Fifth Objective, it seeks to “contribute to the preservation of life on the planet and the salvation of the human species”.

The candidate of the Revolutionary Forces highlighted the importance of “raising awareness about the efficient use of natural resources and applying alternative technology for energy generation.”

From the Miraflores Palace, he pointed out that the sixth T is aimed precisely at protecting hydrographic basins and creating a large scale food production plan, “that guarantees a healthy consumption of food.”

The candidate of the Great Patriotic Pole assured that “capitalism is the cause of the ecological debacle and only from sustainable production, from a new productivity of coexistence, from an ideology of resistance, can solutions for the crisis be produced in the short and medium term”.

Finally, he said that it is essential to transform the “capitalist, predatory model into a socialist, humanist, ecological, green model for the 21st century”.
