The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, assured that the right-wing candidate for the election of the coming July 28 “is a representative of the Fourth Republic, he is the candidate of surnames and of the bourgeoisie.” This was stated this Saturday, May 4 from Caicara in Monagas, where a large mobilization took place in support of President Nicolás Maduro.
Cabello took the opportunity to recall that “on a day like today 62 years ago, the murder of two young students at the Sanz High School by the Fourth Republic was recorded in Monagas.” He said that on that occasion “the armed gangs of the Fourth Republic arrived at the Miguel José Sanz high school and kidnapped the students. There they shot two of them “Guerra and Millán” (as history knows them), two young men from Monagua, boys with joy and hope for a beautiful life, but rebels and revolutionaries. Nine more young people were saved by National Guard officials (...)”.
“This is how the Fourth Republic acts and that is what the imperialist candidate is presenting,” he said.
