“ We have never denied anyone the right to participate, the Unitary Platform has its candidate and that meets the requirements of the law,” said the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón.

During a press conference held by the National Directorate of the PSUV, Cabello Rondón recalled that the Unitary Platform wanted to nominate a person who did not meet the requirements established in the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and in the Organic Law of Electoral Power.

“Since they are capricious, conceited, you have to break the law so that they can be candidates, otherwise there are no elections. At least arrogance fell off its butt,” he added.

In that sense, he argued that in the opposition they have an identity problem, “they have a complex, they want to be, what they are not, to appear to be something else and that in the end takes its toll, politically it is very serious”.

With regard to the electoral board movement, there were 11 candidates for the opposition and one for the PSUV, he said that in democratic times it is normal for that to happen, “for the candidates to move”.

On the other hand, he stressed that there is a sector that is much more serious in the opposition, they presented their candidate, they are on the street doing their campaigns, meetings, presented with their proposal, “they have no hidden agenda”.
