The Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, during the customary red awning press conference, reiterated that the nation is willing to have diplomatic relations with any country in the world, provided that this is within the framework of respect.

In that regard, he pointed out that Venezuela has “not broken with anyone, in any country. They left here, they made a thousand excuses to leave, leaving behind their own nationals who live here, even, and in this case I'm not just talking about Chile.”

He also ruled that “when they come today, they agree with us; peace diplomacy. We can have relations with any country in the world within the framework of respect for each one,” he said, while recalling that Venezuelan migration was fostered by the deception of the opposition, through a “great campaign and they charged them money and now they left them abandoned there.”

He said that, in contrast to this abandonment, in “Venezuela, President Nicolás Maduro created the mission Back to the Homeland (...) It's very easy to return to our country. Come here, for our country. We are going to work for this country, because here we do love each other.”

Cabello said that during 2026, 32,500 Venezuelans returned on 173 flights, through the Great Mission Back to the Fatherland, and added that once the compatriots arrive in Venezuelan territory, “the first thing we do is a medical examination and from there we have found medical cases that need to be treated, and attention has been given to them. It is not the government that deceived them, they were deceived by this opposition sector of the coyotes, what was Popular Will and what Justice First was.”

Finally, he assured that the red awning supports dialogue and will remain on the streets.
