Cabello: We are obliged for this to end successfully and we will choose the best

During a press conference held this Sunday to take stock of the historic day of nomination of candidates, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, indicated that a process of rigorous review of the candidates will begin to ensure that the best and best are elected.

“Power blinds some people and mistakes come, but corrective measures come immediately, and in this case there is a thorough, rigorous review of their political trajectory (...) and one of the things to take into account is that people want recognized leadership and in us we are obliged to conclude this successfully and we will choose the best and the best,” he said.

He recalled that in these processes of choosing candidates, some groups “sometimes want to impose cronyism”, so he said that they will be vigilant to prevent these practices from interrupting the process.

“Groups that tend to confuse positions with political functions, then mix and the so-called Kinos begin to emerge, we hope that here the methodology will allow us to eradicate any expression that comes that way,” he stressed.
