Cabello: We are going to make elections with Venezuelan laws, no one is going to get in here (+photos)

During broadcast No. 470 of his Con El Mazo Dando program, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reiterated this Wednesday that the elections on July 28 will be held in accordance with the country's laws and interventionism of any kind will not be accepted.

Because of the interventionist pronouncements of some governments in the region and the world, Cabello indicated that “They are waiting for the gringos and the European Union to say something to say that they were the first to 'condemn' him (...) You can't be so lukewarm in life, you can't walk like that, making fun of the imperial power, they don't forgive anyone,” he said.

“We are going to make elections with Venezuelan laws, gringos are not going to get in here, the OAS (Organization of American States) is not going to get in here, the European Union is not going to get in here, nobody is going to get in here because this is a matter for Venezuelans and Venezuelans,” he emphasized.

In this regard, he welcomed the expressions of solidarity and statements such as those of the president of Honduras, Xiomara Castro, who pointed out that the electoral process is something that belongs to Venezuelans and “they resolve it without foreign interference.” “And, in addition, he says that he will send observers to the elections, if they invite them,” said the also deputy to the National Assembly.

He stressed that for Venezuela, observers from all over the world can attend, “but no one can come to believe that he is going to give orders to the national government, they have to respect, whoever comes and does not respect Venezuelan laws leaves at once; just as he is invited, the invitation is withdrawn (...) that they go to give his opinion in his room of his house, but not here.”

Cabello pointed out in this regard that Venezuela is not a colony of any foreign power. “Those who wanted to colonize us threw them out, we took them out of here, and they're going to come to believe at this point that we're going to be scared: It's not good,” he stressed.

The candidate of the Revolution

The senior leader of the red awning confirmed that while the opposition is divided in the face of the democratic electoral process, the revolutionary forces have always had their candidate defined and that is President Nicolás Maduro.

“We are very clear about who the candidate of the Revolution is (...) The bases of the PSUV spoke, the parties of the Great Patriotic Pole (GPP), met in their assemblies, which corresponds to their regulations and from there a candidate emerged. Who is the candidate of the Revolution? Nicolás Maduro Moros,” he ratified.

He stated that the decision was taken “in perfect unity, clear of the commitment we have, very clear about the enemy we face (...) There were those who at some point ended up embracing the discourse of imperialism against the Bolivarian Revolution, but history demolishes them and they are turned into nothing”.

Cabello recalled the popular mobilization that accompanied the registration of the Venezuelan Dignitary's candidacy before the National Electoral Council (CNE), calling it “a beautiful demonstration in the street.”

He stressed that on that day there were “people everywhere to support the candidate of love for the Fatherland (...) Women, men, young people, workers, peasants, brothers of the original peoples, people of African descent, sexodiversity, entrepreneurs, businessmen were all supporting Nicolás, doctors, lawyers, engineers, teachers, journalists and the religious sector as well.”

Why did UNT enroll Rosales?

Regarding the divisions within the extremist sector of the national extreme right, Cabello questioned why the governor of the state of Zulia, Manuel Rosales, ended up registering as a candidate , and not the “replacement” of the disqualified María Corina Machado.

“Why did Un Nuevo Tiempo (UNT) enroll Rosales and not the other lady? These are innocent questions (...) The explanations they give are not convincing,” said the first vice-president of the PSUV, detailing that the red awning at the time appointed a responsible person to the CNE to be in charge of the registration process of candidacies, “that's what all parties do.”

“ We have a person, he's the only one who has access to the registration key, that's right, no one else has access,” he said, commenting that the action from the Campaign Command of some aspiring opponents, who claim that they wouldn't let them register their candidacy, “none of them had the password (...) was pure screen, put on the photo. He is the one authorized to register (who does this procedure),” he said.

He reiterated that all political parties have a leader, “it's not that they're going to send someone to see if they can. No, no, the CNE is a serious body.”

Pries and their political “Masses”

On the other hand, during his show No. 470, Cabello rejected the behavior of some representatives of the Catholic Church on politics .

“There are priests who believe that only the squalid go to the Catholic Church,” he lashed and recalled that “the mass is in the name of the Lord”.

Anecdotally, he commented that recently a priest was forced to apologize after a biased political speech: “These days I saw a man in the religious sector who became very angry because he began to give his mass, so he said 'vote for this lady... '”

He compared that there are priests who militate with the Bolivarian Revolution and do not give a political sermon, while regretting the attitude of these religious with a right-wing affinity.

“They lost respect for that and then they came out apologizing because they sent it; it's not an apology from the heart,” he said.

He added that the priest belongs to the Catholic Church of San Judas Tadeo in Maracaibo, Zulia state and drew attention to these actions when questioning: “What would happen if the Chavistas came out to complain at a mass like this?”
