The first
vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV),
Diosdado Cabello Rondón, urged young people to take care of themselves in the face of multiple expressions
of hate promoted by the extreme opposition right, and urged them to intensify the fight against fascism.
“It's time to put a
stop to fascism. Let them call us crazy, yes, crazy with love, joy,
hope, optimism, call us crazy whatever you want, but let's never fall
into anything like that,” said Cabello during his participation in the III
National Meeting of the Network of Young Parliamentarians of Venezuela 2024.
He stressed
that what hurts the bourgeoisie the most about surnames is that they cannot defeat the Bolivarian
Revolution with votes, “nor can they beat us in the street. And
he will never forgive us if a boy from Sabaneta came to be President of the Republic (Commander Hugo
Chávez). They are not going to forgive us that the president is
now a Workers' President.”
In this regard,
he pointed out that “we must all take care of ourselves, be aware, I have
told these young women who are here on the political team of the
Youth Directorate, they must take care of themselves, that no one can walk around alone. We
can't give papaya!” , he emphasized.
