Diosdado Cabello, first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), read this Wednesday, in his program Con El Mazo Dando, a letter he wrote to his mother while he was deprived of liberty after the events of 4F.

“Old lady! I love you very much! , Excuse me for this concern that I cause you. It is not my intention to hurt you, but my country demanded my participation, I am a military man and I swore to defend my country first and foremost and I do nothing but do my duty. I fought and will continue to fight for Venezuela. I'm fine, I'm not hurt or anything like that, don't be ashamed of me because now I'm proud to wear this glorious uniform. Remember that I am not a criminal, I am a fighter for my Fatherland. Greetings to everyone tell them that I am fine, I love you very much,” he read.

He commented that there was a priest (army chaplain) Carlos Porras, who, making them believe that he was close to them, received letters for his relatives, which he then took to the Directorate of Military Intelligence (DIM), where they read it and knew everyone. “That father was the one who married Leopoldo López years later (...) that priest is a criminal who made use of our situation,” he said.
