Cabello: There will be no contemplation with officials who go blind (+Operation Lightning)

The sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, assured that the investigation of Operation Lightning is long and profound.

During a press conference, Cabello Rondón stated that the phones of the detainees are talking. “We are connecting, if there are police officers or Justice System officials at any level,” he said.

“Because it's easy to play blind, deaf and dumb if they get paid. We're going to go all the way to the last because it can't be that security agencies are supporting that,” he said.

Cabello Rondón emphasized that there will be no contemplations of any kind.

He also asserted that it is not the fault of the Venezuelan Government for what is happening in the territory of New Granada. “Even the Colombian politicians and media don't know their own territory,” he said.

“They don't know the groups that operate in their territory, on the Venezuelan side there is no group, we have more than 2,000 men deployed in that area, right now, from the Rapid Reaction Units (URRA),” he said.
