Cabello: There are 120 new companies linked to drug trafficking in the Zulia border area

The sector vice-president for Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, said that during Operation Lightning of Catatumbo, more than 100 new companies linked to drug trafficking were identified in the Zulia border area.

“120 new companies other than those of Mr. José Enrique Rincón,” Cabello said during a press conference, while stating that the second in command of this drug trafficking organization in the state of Zulia is arrested and identified as Sandro David González Socorro.

He explained that through the interrogations, it was possible to identify Socorro, who was camouflaged among the other detainees.

He condemned the fact that the arrested mayors of Zulia used the trust of the popular vote to commit these acts out of personal interests.

“All with a plot of corruption, terrorism, drug trafficking and conspiracy,” he emphasized.

He assured that the Bolivarian Government will continue to hit drug trafficking.
