The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, during the usual red awning press conference, assured that the “right wing is extremely arrogant” and does not learn from defeats.
The leader's statement comes when questioned with reference to the silence of the extreme right with regard to the events that occurred on February 23, 2019, to which he assured that the opposition “does not assume any defeat” and ironized “because they are very intelligent and the People cannot defeat them, according to their lack of clarity of vision”.
Cabello recalled that the Revolution has also received “very painful defeats”, such as the election of the Constitutional Reform in 2007 and “then the parliamentary elections of 2015, we locked ourselves up after that defeat and then the party went out to a congress and there we went out to reorganize.”
He reiterated that the right wing doesn't learn from defeats; “you either learn from defeat or you pay for it, they believe that no one is going to charge them and that's why they don't learn.”
