Cabello: The Referendum was a great victory for the People, despite attempts at sabotage

This Wednesday, December 6, the head of the faction for the Fatherland Bloc, deputy Diosdado Cabello, emphasized the overwhelming victory of the Consultative Referendum in defense of Guiana Esequiba, despite attempts to torpedo the process in one and a thousand ways.
“There were one and a thousand attempts to torpedo and sabotage the democratic, participatory and leading exercise of our People in an event as important as the territorial integrity established in our Constitution, despite the sabotage and attempts to destroy, this Consultation was carried out, with all success,” he said during the regular session of the National Assembly (AN).
He reiterated that what happened on December 3 “was a great victory from end to end, from north to south, from east to west, throughout the national territory.”
He also recognized the deputies to the AN who were deployed throughout the national territory to accompany and support the Popular Consultation in defense of our territory. At the same time, he recalled that the Referendum was invoked by the president of the AN, Jorge Rodríguez, in violation of what is established by the Constitution.
