The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, during his Con El Mazo Dando program, assured that the Venezuelan opposition, in its quest to create a fatalistic environment among Venezuelans, has the hope that the Vatican will not consume the canonization of the People's Saint, José Gregorio Hernández.

“They are so dreadful that they are calling for the Vatican not to canonize the Venezuelan blessed José Gregorio Hernández because they say that the Chavistas are using his image politically, but first of all, JGH doesn't need a signature to be a saint, but the first people who don't want José Gregorio (Hernández) to be a saint are the Venezuelan Catholic hierarchy,” he denounced.

He revealed that at some point representatives of the Venezuelan clergy have sent letters to the so-called Holy See to prevent the canonization of the People's Saint, José Gregorio Hernández and they give their stupid reasons for this refusal.
