This Wednesday, April 24, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, assured that “the candidate of imperialism is Edmundo (González), while the candidate of the People is Nicolás (Maduro)”.

This was stated in his Con El Mazo Dando program number 473, where he noted “the same people who killed Chávez are those who intend to come to power in Venezuela; imperialism”.

In that vein, he specified that “they (the United States) are directly involved in the assassination of Commander Chávez.”

“They didn't forgive him for someone raising their voice on behalf of the Peoples,” he said while maintaining that the United States has no kind of demure.”

“They assume that they are going to govern in Venezuela with the opposition and that is why they have their candidate (Edmundo). This is imperialism, they are looking for their chips,” he denounced.
