In commemoration of the 32nd anniversary of the Civic-Military Rebellion of February 4, 1992, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, pointed out that with these actions they prevented a right-wing coup d'etat.

“The first achievement of the 4F was to prevent a right-wing coup d'etat. A right-wing coup d'etat was imminent here in Venezuela... When this young man (Commander Hugo Chávez) comes out with his 'for now', the People begin to support him and the right-wing military had to get upset,” Cabello recalled at the premiere of the podcast Chavista, from the Hugo Chávez Foundation.

He stressed that with the 4F rebellion, they put obstacles to these plans of the national right, led by President Rafael Caldera's own son-in-law, Rubén Rojas.
