Cabello: The events of April 11, 12 and 13 were necessary to wake up and break with the Fourth Republic

This Friday, April 12, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, assured that the events of 22 years ago were necessary to wake up and break with what united the Revolution and the Fourth Republic.

“Understanding what happened on April 11 is necessary, because it seemed that it will be necessary, because we had to wake up once and for all, because we were still half asleep, many thought that we could live with those who had destroyed youth and murdered a people,” said Cabello.

In this regard, during the National Youth Forum, Become Aware of the Events of April 11, 12 and 13, he indicated that the events of the coup d'etat confirmed that it was materially impossible to live with these elites, “because they were different ways of seeing the world and seeing our Homeland.”

He reaffirmed that Commander Hugo Chávez came to the presidency of the Republic as “a cry, as a hope for the People and there were people here who did not want the People to have hope or to be able to make their dreams come true”.

“It was a historic and necessary event because it allowed us to definitely break with that umbilical cord that united us to the Fourth Republic, it made us understand that with them we are not going anywhere, because they will remain the same as always,” he said.
