The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, emphasized that “NGOs have their raison d'être, but in Venezuela, what are called NGOs or some of those that they call NGOs, are in fact facades for conspiracy, for money laundering and money laundering.”

In this regard, he recalled that the National Assembly is drafting a law, “to regulate the operation, registration and funding of Non-Governmental Organizations”.

During his show Con el Mazo Dando, on broadcast number 462, he reiterated once again that NGOs that are proceeding honestly and in accordance with the law have nothing to fear.

“If you're doing things right and getting money right where it should be, why are you going to worry?” , said and maintained that precisely the law seeks to ensure lawful freedom of association.

“If one of these organizations is receiving dirty money, it has to say where it comes from,” he said and referring to some of these organizations in the country, he indicated that they call themselves “Non-Governmental because they don't depend on the Venezuelan Government, but they depend on the gringo government,” stressing that in these cases “they are not NGOs, they will be something else.”

“Those who don't owe it don't fear it,” he said.
