This Thursday, October 17, the sectoral vice-president for Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, announced new details about the investigation into terrorist plans against the country.

In this regard, he indicated that a new group of mercenaries was captured in Venezuela; as well as the seizure of 71 new weapons of war in different operations.

In addition, he referred to the fact that these mercenaries have links with terrorist groups such as the Aragua and El Llano Train.

“The link is important because it is an operation in which the CNI (National Center for Spanish Intelligence) introduces mercenaries, weapons and they establish contacts with criminal gangs to attack strategic points in the country, to assassinate leaders of the Revolution, harm our people and ultimately depose the Revolutionary Government,” he denounced.

He reaffirmed that these plans are part of the policies of North American imperialism, “with its agents of action, in this case the CIA and the Spanish National Intelligence Center, which is directly in charge of the operation, in the recruitment and supply of weapons.”

He recalled that in this operation, a senior commander of the United States Army, Wilber Joseph Castañeda, had already been captured, who is giving information about his operation here in Venezuela.
