Cabello reaffirmed his pride in Native Peoples: It's comforting to see them march with their ancient strength

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV),
Diosdado Cabello Rondón, highlighted his pride in the country's Indigenous Peoples,
highlighting the demonstrations that took place in the framework of October 12.
“They went out to march with the beauty, purity and harmony of the original peoples
. It is totally comforting to see them march with their beliefs, with
their culture, but above all with their ancient strength of so many years of struggle,”
he said during the PSUV press conference.
He also stressed that it is thanks to the Constituent Assembly promoted by Commander
Hugo Chávez, that today the rights of Native Peoples are recognized in the Constitution.
He questioned those who place more value on being related to other nationalities.
“What indigenous community do your ancestors come from? That should
comfort us even more (...) That is a reason for pride. Well, at least I
think so, sorry; maybe I'm wrong,” he said.
