Cabello: PSUV takes the lead for the defense of peace in the country (+photos)

This Monday, January 22, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, assured that the red curtain is being put in place to defend peace throughout the national territory, in the face of the conspiratorial and destabilizing plans of the extreme right.

“We accompany the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, the Peace Army of which the PSUV is constituted, is placed under the command of the Venezuelan State, of President Nicolás Maduro, for the defense of peace and tranquility in our country,” Cabello said during the PSUV press conference.

In this regard, he assured that so far the PSUV has formed 46,542 Popular Units for Peace (UPPAZ) and will continue to form them. “When we have the peace of the small we can guarantee the peace of the big, we don't have to flaunt it, but that's a great force,” he said.

Faced with the recent attacks of imperialism, he indicated that they will continue to do so. “On the one hand, they want to present themselves as good, but you know that they are not good, not imperialism, you don't have to believe anything,” he said.

He recalled that those who do not have votes have always resorted to violence. “They have no scruples of any kind and what they show once again is that this extremist sector of the Venezuelan right does not believe in elections, it does not feel that an election is the way; of course they are going to stop participating, but what they want is a violent solution, a fast track,” he said, referring to the recent acts of conspiracy against the Homeland.

He stressed that in the face of these actions, the Revolution has always given a clear message. “We have told you this many times, neither by hook nor by crooked; by good you have to win the elections and when we go to elections we prepare to win; and the hard way you will find us wherever you say, whenever you want, we want,” he said.
