This Monday, November 25, the first
vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV),
Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reaffirmed the position of the Bolivarian Revolution in defense of women's
rights, in order to commemorate the International Day against Violence against Women.
In this regard, she indicated that within the framework of
this commemoration, a series of activities have been organized in the
country, including the installation of 24 Feminist Tribunes throughout the country, “to recognize
women.”
“Women as human beings must be respected, women as human beings must be given the spaces that correspond to them and here in Venezuela Commander (Hugo) Chávez opened those doors,” she said, recalling that in the country things were very different in the Fourth Republic.
