This Monday, May 20, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, stressed that the Venezuelan opposition has never been coherent and always lies to its own people, recalling that today marks six years since the re-election of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

“Let's remember the story because six years ago they (the right) said they weren't going to elections because it was with that CNE (National Electoral Council), with that Electoral System (...) six years later the CNE is good, the system is good and now they do want to go to elections; that's the opposition we have in Venezuela that is not able to speak clearly to its own people and that is not capable of having a minimum of political coherence,” Cabello said.

Also, during the PSUV press conference, he recalled that groups associated with the Venezuelan right, days before the elections that year, burned down CNE warehouses to sabotage the electoral process. In turn, he pointed out that these sectors are trying to revive these actions today.
