“To share our joy and satisfaction with what happened yesterday, an event of the maximum democratic presence of our people, of our bases, of our revolutionary militancy (...). Let's go back to making history, we're still making history.”

This was stated by the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, this Sunday during a press conference where he gave a balance sheet of the more than 47,000 nomination meetings of candidates and candidates of the revolutionary forces for the upcoming elections of deputies to the National Assembly (AN), governors and state legislative councils scheduled for May 25.

He pointed out that this example of implementing participatory and proactive democracy cannot be put into practice by the Venezuelan oppositions.

“Let's look for a space like this in the opposition that they consult their people to know who is going to be their candidate, they don't do it if they can't even define their leaders,” he said.

He drew attention to the silence that exists from the opposition sectors regarding this assembly process of application, which exceeded the participation of 5 million Venezuelans.

“The opposition sectors haven't said anything, we don't have anything to say if we have a lot to say,” he said.
