Cabello on the Essequibo Defense Act: Complies with the spirit approved by the People in the referendum

During the regular session of the National Assembly (AN),
this Thursday, the deputy Diosdado Cabello Rondón stated that the approval of
the Defense Law for Guiana Esequiba complies with the mandate issued by the Venezuelan
people on December 8 in a consultative referendum.
“As of January 9, the approval of the
first articles began, a very wide consultation throughout the national territory, all
the states of Venezuela participated for a total of more than 200 events and 200 consultation
events throughout the country,” Cabello recalled in his speech at the
plenary where this legal instrument was unanimously approved.
He noted that during the consultation “opinions,
observations and recommendations were collected from the different sectors, a law that
perfectly complies with the spirit approved by the sovereign people in the referendum
on the issue of Guiana Essequiba”.
Cabello highlighted the unity of all sectors of the country in
the campaign for territorial defense. “We were like brothers all over
the country who loved the Homeland, sectors of Chavism, of the revolution;
opposition sectors, whom I recognize for that campaign.
Venezuelans who have nothing to do with politics accompanied this proposal, it was motivated, the national soul
was awakened in a whole in defense of our
territory, in defense of our Guiana Essequiba,” he emphasized.
