The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, dismissed the threats launched by opposition extremism against the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, to intimidate him.

Tarek has been persecuted all his life and has never yelled at anyone,” he said and recalled that “on 9/11, the murderers, coup plotters and cowards of Henrique Capriles and Leopoldo López Oz went looking for him, and no one heard Tarek crying for forgiveness, demanding his rights, yes, of course.”

During his program Con el Mazo Dando, he reported that Sebastiana Barráez, a journalist linked to the frustrated conspiracies against the Head of State Nicolás Maduro, “has asked that someone do to Tarek what they did to Roque Dalton (murdered Salvadoran poet, essayist, journalist, political activist and intellectual)”.

“Who's going to do it, Mrs. Sebastiana? The people with whom you are proven to have direct ties? Them? Are you going to talk to your friends Los Paracos or Colombian drug traffickers to get them to do that to Tarek?” , Cabello questioned.
