The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, when touring the photographic exhibition of the book “That's My Rooster: Visual Chronicle of a Popular Epic” in the Plaza de la Juventud in Caracas, stated that “the streets belong to the people and this testimony (photographs) must serve to make known the battles that have taken place in Venezuela”.
Cabello recalled that February 2 marks the 26th anniversary of Commander Chávez taking office as president of the Republic for the first time. “As a boy, a young man at that time, with integrity and with the responsibility that belonged to someone who knew what he had achieved, he assumed the presidency of the country.”
The first vice-president of the red awning pointed out that “today Venezuela is different and here is the testimony of that change that the country has undergone, because beyond the attacks we are standing. Nothing and no one is going to make us give up.”
