This Monday, February 03, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, specified that the meeting of President Nicolás Maduro with the envoy of the Trump administration, Richard Grenell, is a good step for relations between the two countries in the midst of respect.

“It's a good step in the midst of respect, which is what you always ask for, we don't mess with anyone and that no one messes with us,” said Cabello, referring to the fact that the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, who was directly responsible for dialogue in Venezuela, was present at the meeting.

He emphasized that this respect between nations has a lot to do “with those who govern countries, there are Heads of State who don't care much about respect.”

He reaffirmed that that meeting resulted in agreements “for the peace and security of Venezuelans”.
