Regarding the 45th anniversary of the assassination of Monsignor Oscar Arnulfo Romero in El Salvador, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rodón, pointed out that Leopoldo Castillo and Edmundo González know a lot about killing people and working for the CIA.

“They know how to kill people, they know how to murder people, to persecute people and to work for the CIA, both,” he said, recalling that 45 years ago the Venezuelan embassy in El Salvador was used by these characters to plan assassinations of religious, social and popular leaders, trade unionists and those who raised their voices against the government.

He specified that although these characters “ are in decline around the world today, those crimes in El Salvador are there (...) and unfortunately Venezuelan embassies used to lend themselves to such things.”

For this reason, he emphasized that since the arrival of the Bolivarian Revolution, “that has never happened and will never happen.”
