This Monday, October 26, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, recognized the Brazilian people for last Sunday's election day when President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was re-elected.

“We want to send him from here, from the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, a recognition to the Brazilian People (...), we congratulate the President of course, but a recognition to that People who had the clarity to understand that what was coming was fascism and stopped it in its tracks,” he said during the PSUV press conference.

He also reaffirmed that the People of Brazil stopped fascism in its tracks by voting. “Understanding that fascism is not the option, fascism is not today and will never be anywhere in the world,” he said.

He reaffirmed his recognition of political movements and allies in Brazil. “A recognition to that people who have set an example to the world (...) And we, in a way, well, who have always been with the Brazilian people, are also very happy and proud of that great victory,” he said.
