This Friday, April 12, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, reaffirmed to the youth that during the Fourth Republic in this country the People were being murdered and that is why events such as April 11, 12 and 13 are a consequence of the decisions taken by this man tired of neoliberal policies.
“April 11, 12 and 13 are the result of a decision taken by the People of Venezuela in December 98 (...) that led Commander (Hugo) Chávez to the presidency of the Republic. Venezuela was a country of the excluded (...) More than one young high school student was murdered for thinking differently in the 60s, 70s and 80s,” Cabello said during the National Youth Forum: Become Aware of the Events of April 11, 12 and 13.
In this regard, he stressed that if the right wing had consolidated its coup d'etat, many Chavism leaders would be imprisoned or dead. “No one is shocked and believes that this is a lie, that is a great truth, this is how those people who wanted to carry out a coup d'etat and who governed this country for 40 years and who betrayed the people in the year 58 acted,” he said.
