This Saturday, the Minister of People's Power for Internal Relations Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, in statements to the press, reported that several elected mayors are linked to the corruption network, who are deprived of their liberty.

“Mayors who were elected by the vote of the Revolution, betrayed the Revolution and fell into the network of corruption, drug trafficking and conspiracy; now that they assume their consequences and responsibility,” said Cabello.

He also stressed that the six mayors were captured within the criminal structure that has financed electoral campaigns to ensure the payment of drugs by their municipalities, are linked through companies and facades and guaranteed to continue acting.

Cabello said that “unfortunately there is no regional government in the state of Zulia”, in this regard, he urged to be more severe in the choice of candidates for the coming elections.

“For 4,000 dollars per trip they (officials) condemn his soul, the harm they do to the world with that drug hurts their own family,” said Cabello.

In addition, he guaranteed that this is the fight with drug mafias, everyone who appears will be brought to justice “the Armed Forces will act responsibly, the police forces are already acting, so no weakness can be allowed with any gang”.
