Cabello: María Corina Machado is behind the operation to infiltrate mercenaries into the country

Behind the operation to infiltrate mercenaries to provoke terrorist acts in the country is the extreme right wing María Corina Machado, said the sector's vice-president for Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello.

“Mrs. María Corina is aware of this and she should not say anything, assume it. She is aware of all the damage that these gentlemen are going to cause to Venezuela,” said Cabello, recalling how the so-called “commandos” sponsored by Machado tried to fill the country with chaos and violence on July 29.

In addition, at a press conference held this Thursday, Cabello assured that along with this mobilization of mercenaries there is an arms trafficking operation led by the fugitive from Venezuelan justice, Iván Simonovis.

“Simonovis is the one who brings the weapons and he has said that none of these operations are done without María Corina's approval,” he stressed, while pointing out to Julio Borges, Carlos Vecchio and Leopoldo López that he is part of these plans that are being carried out hand in hand with the CIA and the National Intelligence Center (CNI) of Spain.

He also assured that State security agencies are still working to stop these plans and capture all those involved.
