Cabello: Many governments have given protection to people who participated in terrorist acts

The sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, criticized this Saturday the protection offered by some governments around the world to criminals who have planned and executed terrorist actions in Venezuela.

“Unfortunately, many governments have given protection to people who operated in terrorist activities in Venezuela. When you tell them that they are linked, it is the desperation of the political sectors. Terrorist groups with political sectors in Venezuela, drug trafficking with political sectors, they don't believe it. We have told them a thousand times,” he said at a press conference.

Regarding the possible link between the criminal Richard Billings Cardozo Urribarri and the drug trafficking operations of the extreme right in the state of Zulia, Cabello does not rule it out.

“It doesn't surprise me at all that it has a link. We will have to review everything that happened at that time at that time when this person was accused and the links you have with these characters who are now being arrested for this operation,” he said.

Cardozo, who could be extradited from El Salvador, belonged to the Structured Organized Crime Group “El Yiyi” and is responsible for the attack on a commercial premises in the city of Maracaibo, which left one person murdered and three others injured.
