This Monday, July 1st, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, called on the revolutionary forces not to succumb to triumphalism and to correct mistakes in the face of the elections of July 28.

“Let's not fall into triumphalism and all the mistakes that could have been made yesterday (in the electoral simulation) to be corrected,” Cabello said during a PSUV press conference.

He also emphasized that the expectations that can be had after the 28th are that peace will prevail. “Because it gives you the opportunity to grow and plan your life,” he said.

He emphasized that this town is joyful, “but what they most yearn for is to live in peace and tranquility (...) and that has been achieved by Venezuelans and by the permanent work of the Government.”
