The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of
Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, celebrated this Monday the actions promoted
by the State for the protection of the Venezuelan population in the face of the
intensification of the armed conflict in Colombia.
“We regret, from here in Venezuela, any
conflict that exists at the level of other countries. We don't meddle in anyone's
internal affairs, because we've always hoped they wouldn't meddle in our
internal affairs. Now, faced with the possibility of these things, we are
obliged to take forecasts,” said Cabello during the
weekly press conference of the red awning.
He stressed that the actions of the Bolivarian Government are “always
to prevent our people, people who live in Venezuela, from feeling
affected”, and said that it is “a conflict, I repeat, that is not ours,
and it is a conflict, in this case, that is not yesterday, it is many years
old”.
“We take the forecasts internally, our Armed
Forces deployed, our police forces deployed, the border governors
doing their due job as governors,” he added.
