The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, once again recommended that the opposition sector read and analyze the Organic Law on Electoral Processes.
“I'm going to continue to insist on the laws, it's my duty and obligation,” he said on his Con El Mazo Dando program, broadcast number 472.
In that direction, he reiterated that whoever did not submit the candidate's nomination for the 2024 Presidential Elections, within the deadline established by the National Electoral Council (CNE), in the electoral schedule, “is not going, he has no chance.”
For this reason, he said that “I wait for you all in La Bajaíta”.
He commented that representatives of the right wing held a forum this Monday, April 15, “and they read some articles, but they insist on not reading the 44th.”
Cabello read the aforementioned article, which establishes the temporality of the applications. “This is a very simple article, it has five lines and it says: the electoral schedule will establish the expected periods for the nominations,” he said.
He explained that the Presidential Elections will take place on July 28, “the electoral body, the CNE in Venezuela, made a public, notorious and communicational electoral schedule, in which it clearly states that the nominations would take place between 21 and 25 (March) inclusive.”
He stressed that the aforementioned article contemplates that applications entered outside the deadline set out in said schedule are “extemporaneous and will be considered as not submitted”.
