Diosdado Cabello, first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), said that “I said playing that the elections were going to be in March, but I kind of hit it.”

This was stated in his program Con El Mazo Dando, this Wednesday, where he dismissed the threats of North American imperialism.

They're not going to scare us! They're not going to twist our arms. This people must be very clear, that when our country is climbing a steep slope, economists know it, as today the people who are also economists know, we must be aware,” he said.

He added that “the People know what it has cost to climb this slope and breathe a new air of tranquility in our country”, so he highlighted the conscience of the Pagan People to defend what has been achieved.

“The economic takeoff of sectors that were paralyzed and are starting to move again, entrepreneurs who break the barrier and move forward little by little, so that now these people come to threaten our country and that they are from here in Venezuela; the same ones who have failed in these 25 years asking for sanctions and blockade against their people,” he said.

Reiterating his saying about the month for the election, he said: “I mean I'm going to have to take this to the Assembly (...) to the Committee on Internal Policy.”
