Cabello highlights the massive participation of young people under 18 in the second Popular Consultation

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, described the recent National Popular Consultation as an extraordinary success and highlighted the massive territorial participation of young people under 18 years of age.

“A large number of young people under 18 years of age went to vote in this consultation, they are actively participating in everything related to their community,” he said during the usual press conference of the national leadership of the PSUV.

He also stressed that young people are already leaders and many of them were left as spokespersons in the renewal of the Community Councils. “Youth is an extraordinary mobilizing force but also a decisive force,” he said.

Cabello Rondón expressed confidence in the future of the political process, highlighting the generational contrast with the opposition forces: “It has to do with a new generation of replacement. We have to feel happy; I personally feel safe with the coming change, the Bolivarian Revolution is in good hands with the youth we have right now, I have no doubt. While on the other hand you are looking for youth and they don't appear anywhere; their 'youth' are 62 or 63 years old, that's the average,” he added.
