During his Con El Mazo Dando program, the Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, stressed that in Venezuela there have never been political persecution, “but rather some mobsters who handed out letters (permits) and for each letter they were charging.”

Cabello read a model of the letter with which people were being defrauded, signed by "Luis Somaza (supposed director of Nardia's Presidential Office), is now under arrest”.

He pointed out that “everyone's network of coyotes is falling, they thought it happened, because it happened in 2022. (Somaza) is not missing, he is being held for being part of a human trafficking network”,

“There were no political persecution here, but rather a big operation to defraud people. This lasted until December 2022, since this didn't work for them, they went to the most barbaric mechanism that was El Darién. They still charged them,” he said.

He also rejected David Smolansky's attitude, “I was surprised because I saw the Smolansky rat, talking about Venezuelans who are returning as if he were doing something there (USA)”, to make possible these transfers of compatriots.

During broadcast number 521, Cabello showed a video, in which an audio can be heard that reveals “what was the modus operandi of that time of a man, tired because he was scammed, recorded it and sent it to a friend of mine (his person in the capacity of Minister of the Interior)”.

He explained that the audio shows the narrative as was the procedure on the subject of supposed political asylum in the United States, managed by the extremist right to encourage mass migration of Venezuelans, whose objective was for the affected countries to qualify Venezuela as a threat to promote the fall of the Bolivarian Revolution.

“One of the managers is Juan Guaidó's little brother (Gustavo Guaidó),” he said.

In that scenario, Cabello commented that Juan Guaidó came out to deny “his little brother (...) you are a tramp, a rascal, with your brother they are big criminals. They defrauded a number of people and took money from them.”
