This Friday, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) Diosdado Cabello Rondón participated in a meeting with international companions ahead of the presidential elections on Sunday, July 28.

During the activity, Cabello highlighted that with the arrival of Hugo Chávez, “the enabling laws allowed the Venezuelan State to have control of its revenues (...)”.

“Here in our country, oil contracts were signed with transnational companies that took 99 out of every 100 dollars of oil revenue and the State kept $1, Chávez stopped that and imperialism didn't like it,” he recalled.

The first vice president stressed that the revenues left by the big transnational corporations began to be invested in the People of Venezuela. “What was the result? Coup d'etat in April 2002.
