Cabello denounced an opposition smear campaign against compatriots who returned to the country

The sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, denounced that there is a campaign implemented by the opposition that seeks to make compatriots, from the United States and who arrived in the country, look like criminals.

“The Venezuelan opposition has always done it (smear campaign), since this week we have ordered an investigation because we have seen on social networks that they have been stolen at traffic lights but no one files the complaint, that they file the report to clarify where they were assaulted, because in Venezuela there are cameras everywhere through 911 and linked to cameras in shopping centers and residential complexes; if that's true it's true it's registered and if it's not, someone is lying and it's going to be demonstrated how they're mounting a campaign to scare them Venezuelans,” said Cabello from Simon Bolivar Airport in the state of La Guaira.

He assured that if the compatriots who have arrived in the country have committed crimes, justice will fall to them.

“If someone has committed a crime, whether they came or not on these flights, rest assured that justice will visit them, with all the love we have received, we will look for them wherever those who are committing crimes on Venezuelan soil are,” he said.
