The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rón Adón, congratulated all the athletes who participated in the Orient 2024 National Sports Games.
“It was an extraordinary sporting and organizational success, with more than 6,000 athletes from 25 federal entities, including our Guiana Esequiba,” said Cabello Rondón, during the Press Conference of the National Directorate of the PSUV .
Cabello highlighted the participation of the Yaracuy delegation, which entered the top 5 of the delegations with the most medals at the Games. “I see the result and I wonder how many people live in Yaracuy? And look at the number of medals he won, it's impressive, as did La Guaira and Apure, a sign of the massification of sports throughout Venezuela,” he said.
He also congratulated Deportivo Táchira, who became champion of the Venezuelan soccer tournament, after beating Carabobo FC 4-1.
On the other hand, he recalled that Venezuela will be present at the Ayacucho 2024 Bicentennial Bolivarian Games in Peru, which will take place from November 28 to December 8.
